Debutots is delighted to support I CAN, the children's communication charity.
I CAN works to develop speech, language and communication skills for all children with a particular focus on children who find communication hard; children with a communication disability.
Debutots classes encourage speech and language skills to develop in a communication-friendly environment. Our stories provide the platform for verbal and non-verbal communication to grow through structured dramatic play and lively, imaginative games.
I CAN's aims are directly reflected in our practice and we demonstrate our support for their valuable work by taking part in the annual Chatterbox Challenge.
Make Chatter Matter is I CAN's awareness-raising campaign to highlight the importance of children's communication development during the early years as the foundation for learning and development.
One of the ways we can show our support for this important initiative is through their nationwide annual Chatterbox Challenge.
Debutots use a special story for our Baby Story Play and Early Years Drama classes to promote the challenge and we hope little Debutots chatter boxes will be ringing out across the UK to raise money for I CAN!
Putumayo Kids is committed to introducing children to other cultures through fun, upbeat international music. Their playful CDs entertain, educate and akin to our Debutots stories, seek to creatively foster multi-cultural awareness.
We are delighted to have teamed up with Putumayo Kids, making their music the 'soundtrack' to our curriculum. We love their engaging, lively songs and seeing our parents and carers inspired by their children's expressive reactions to the music. No one can keep still to Putumayo Kids!
All the Putumayo music we use in our classes is available from your local practitioner, and we are happy to know that with each new Putumayo Kids release, at least one percent of Putumayo's proceeds will benefit non-profit groups that support children, families, schools and other charities across the world.
